I only had lunch here; the dinner menu is larger and might be better. That said: 3 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service and atmosphere. The food: fresh and well-cooked, but low on flavor. Most dishes were one-dimensional, lacking depth in a way that reminded me of my early attempts at cooking (before I started properly using salt, spices, etc.). I understand that this kind of minimalism or simplicity may be appreciated by some, but I found it underwhelming. Everything else: I loved the space – one of the best restaurant interiors I've seen in a while. Service was friendly and polite, but unobtrusive, which I appreciated.

If there were 10 stars they would deserve it. I can't begin to describe the absolute best, authentic Japanese cuisine. Outstanding.

Great atmosphere and decor. We loved sitting at the counter and watching the chefs work. Food was good but not stand out. It was near empty around 6:00 when we arrived for our reservation but filled up quickly.

Delicious food! Great for sharing or getting solo meals. Cool vibe, friendly staff. A few adventures authentic Japanese dishes that were AMAZING! Try the fermented beans!

You can order whatever you want and it will be good. The black sesame ice cream is amazing.
