The food is great and deserves a five stars but pretty much everything is a one star at best. The prices are a bit on the high side.. Table service needs lots of improvement (not tentative to customers request and don't check on you frequently...) food takes too long to prepare at times so they need to come up with ways to make the experience good during that time. The atmosphere inside is still not good even after several face-lifts already. The tables and chairs desperately need to be replaced. Old furniture indeed. It feels rather dull inside. The menu needs an upgrade as well. Need to offer better options for appetizers with combinational appetizers for people to taste a little of everything. This is common in many middle eastern restaurants. Finally Parking is a huge problem but I don't think they can do anything about it though.

The food was so good, and it was ready for my husband (meat eater) and me (vegan) to each find something we would enjoy. The service was great, felt like an intimate family place. Only downside was the lack of alcohol, was really hoping for a glass of wine. Order extra bread, it's amazing.

The service for us was bad. 1. When we arrived it was relatively two tables of people not busy at all one person at the counter paying but it took 10-15 minutes for the server to seat us in a pretty empty dining room. 2. Took at least 30 more minutes to take our order and bring water. 3. Took 30 more minutes to bring out A PLATE OF TABOULI (now meanwhile other people have gotten more bread, 2 new people gotten ordered in all of 1 minute of sitting down) so I watched to see how long it would take to get their food. They got their food BEFORE we did, and I guess if you look 'local' they will treat you ok because it seemed like everyone around us did and they got serviced like normal customers. We eventually got our entrees and eventually got our dessert later but I'd like to be treated like the other customers that have given 5-stars. I'll give them 2-stars for the food we ordered was decent. Not stellar compared to other similar restaurants in the area

First time trying Yemen food. Really loved it. The salad was surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the meal. Fish perfectly done. I'm not a falafel fan but really enjoyed the ones here. Will be back when I come to San Francisco again. Wish I had taken pics. Oh almost forgot. Great service. Yummy milk tea.

Halal food, friendly people but the meat specialty chicken should be clean and well cooked made me sick last time
