Based on the name, you know it's BBQ, but go for the chicken, it's delicious. This is a neighborhood place, mostly locals and families. It's almost always crowded so make a reservation. It's casual, a little bit noisy, but not distracting. The BBQ is solid and there's a lot of great "comfort food" sides like corn bread, creamed corn, mashed potatoes etc. If you eat on the lighter side, go for a salad but don't skip the chicken! Also, the staff is always great whether you're dining in or picking up.

Fantastic place! Our go-to bbq every time we're in Pasadena. Their Deviled Eggs are to die for, but we've eaten our way through the menu and nothing on there is less than excellent. Meat cooked to perfection, side dishes are plentiful and taste great. The sweet corn is so good it's almost a dessert! The bar can whip up almost anything, haven't been able to come up with a drink the bartender didn't know how to make. Staff is so friendly that it feels like you're a regular even though it's your first time there. Easy parking on the side of the building, reservations are a must on evenings and weekends, unless you're willing to wait an hour or two at the door. I absolutely recommend this place if you're around!

This place has some Spectacular food! It does take some time to prepare, but it is well worth the wait. I ordered a burger because I couldn't decide on what to get. I expected a decent burger, but what I got was the best BBQ burger I ever f**king tasted. It was cooked perfectly rare just the way I like it. I sampled the ribs and chicken on my friends' plates and they were also extremely delicious. This place has multiple sauces to choose from at the table and all of them seemed house-made and were so tasty.

If you want authentic, smokey BBQ, this is the place. A bit pricey but unique compared to many other BBQ places. They have a BBQ Beef that is outstanding. I didn't care for the coleslaw but the baked beans were very good. The sweet tea was perfect and the service very good.

Lives up to its reputation as one of the best BBQ joints around. Classic, warm space. An old school place that's been around from the 40's, it's still standing because of the incredible food and top notch staff. Great brisket (portion was a little small) and the corn bread is great. They even bothered to get coffee right (it's amazing), which is a throwaway menu item at a place like this. That means they care about details, always improving and getting thing right. I've been there once and I know I'll be a regular.
