This is the very best restaurant I have been to in Colorado in 10.5 years of living here- both for best food and best staff. I might as well be in coastal Maine when I eat here, the seafood is so fresh and delicious. The happy hour is an unbeatable deal. It could be snooty given how good it is but instead it is so unpretentious and presents the best of what Boulder has to offer. We've never had a hassle to get a table without reservations either. Thank you Jax and team!!!

I recently moved to the area from South Florida. My family and I have a passion for seafood that we are thoroughly missing since moving here. We decided to go to Jax after going Skiing on Easter Sunday. The seafood, the ambience, including the character of the restaurant was stupendous. Our garçon, Justin for the evening, was courteous, punctual, and organized; as a expanded function dental assistant I was well pleased. It was as though he was the very essence of fine dining. 😎 We Thankfully left a gracious 💰, Whenever we’re in town, here is our spot

In from out of town. Wanted local place with good low-key vibe and great food. Check and check. Service was excellent as well. Server knew who her stuff. As a non-local who likes going local places, highly recommended.

Saturday night, me and my peeps cozied up in the booth in the bar area and tucked into two dozen oysters and an embarrassing amount of fried calamari. It was, as it always is, sensational. I cannot speak highly enough of Jax - the atmosphere, service, and food is unparalleled and is why I keep coming back. Do make a reservation if you want to sit at a table, but don’t be afraid to hang out at the bar all night. The bar staff will keep a close eye on you to make sure you’re well taken care of.

Jax is one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder. It is our "go to" for our date nights, birthdays, "girls-night-out," and sometimes just for a quick crab cake, (which I need to mention will be the best crab cake in town)! The cocktails are crafty and delicious, and they have a broad wine selection! The staff is friendly, attentive and professional, and they never forget a drink order or special request. We have been taking our son there, for every birthday since he was ten years old, now it's been eight years in a row. Being land-locked in Colorado, people question how we can have such incredible fresh and delicious seafood, well at Jax, they are real masters! Chef Sheila Lucero is nothing but extraordinary! You must try it!
