If you’re visiting the White House or DC make sure to try this restaurant out. We had a wonderful dinner date here. Make sure to make yourself a reservation. The quality of food here is Absolutely Amazing. This restaurant has amazing crab cakes and awesome cocktails. The atmosphere was great.

Shout out to the server Tutu! She is not only attentive but very knowledgeable and very kind. She is one of a kind! It's a shame she can't sit and have a drink with me. I could not imagine asking for better service. This place has a great atmosphere and a great late night menu until 2am! I stop here at least twice each time I come into the city. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to eat for any meal during the day. Definitely lived up to its name. The food is very tasty and unique. I thoroughly enjoyed the trout. Very healthy portion with great flavor. My wife had the soft shelled crab, which was very tasty, but the portion could have been a little larger got the price you pay. She's not a big eater and she felt she needed more food. The couple of beers in draft are also good. If you're an oyster lover, I have heard great things about them and they looked very good as they passed our table. Great atmosphere, old school charm and refined. Big place, often quite crowded... I don't recall if they take reservations, but I wound highly recommend reservations if they take them. The two times I have been here when visiting DC, this place has always been a treat. Prices are not cheap, but fair for the quality that's expected. This is a place you go to treat yourself or whoever you're with. Service was very good each time I went. Very helpful and attentive staff. Highly recommend this place in every way.

Grabbed lunch here by myself one day when I was in town for a quick business trip. It was extremely busy but they have multiple bars so I was able to grab a seat at the end of one of them. Bartender did an excellent job. Very conversational. Tried a local beer and their Cuban sandwich which you could tell was made in house. The Cuban bread was fresh and crunchy which, in my opinion, makes the Cuban. The restaurant Has a lot of historical significance. Read the history and it claims to be DC areas first saloon which is cool having been frequented by several of our presidents over the years. This place was recommended to me by a relative who lived in downtown DC for years as one of the best spots so I highly recommend checking it out.

Great vintage feel. Definitely a hot spot. There wasn't a table for dinner, but we still enjoyed a drink at the bar. The kids had kiddie cocktails and I had the most amazing oysters ever. Bartenders were seasoned and very good at their jobs. This is a must see if you're in the DC area. Even my preteens looked around and said, "this place is cool!"
