People just don’t know great dining anymore. Went in on a Friday at 7pm. The bar was half empty so I don’t know what prior posts are about the 2 to 3 deep but they were right about the poor service. Three bar tenders for a half full bar and I had to flag someone down every time I needed something. As for the food, it was good. But I expected better. The interior is beautiful but in the future, I would go back to Ray’s the Steaks any day. Much more reasonably priced, excellent service and better food. Joe’s is a hype job if you want to look trendy.

What a wonderful time we has here. We brought our kids after a full 8 hours of touring the city and we felt so welcome. We weren't dressed the nicest but we were hungry! We have mature pallets and are accustomed to good service and Joe's met our expectations on every front. They treated us very well, our wonderful waiter actually helped my mom crack her blue crab, as she had never had that type before. Highly recommend, worth the $$$$

This place is related to the one in Miami, so it has the stone crabs and the key lime pie. They serve the key lime way too cold to taste good. I took mine home and it tasted much better a little less cold. One thing they have that Miami doesn't and I cannot recommend enough is the OTHER pies, like the coconut cream pie!!! It was the best I've ever had. Seriously!!! .... This is an addendum to my 1st review and I went back for the stone crabs and the coconut cream pie. I really can't emphasize how good both of those things are and the coconut cream pie you can only get here. You can actually ask for a 1/2 serving of 2 different kinds of pies so you could get half key lime 1/2 coconut or half coconut 1/2 Boston cream. The coleslaw is pretty dam good too. The service is friendly and the wine list is plentiful. This is definitely a favorite spot in DC.

The place is beautiful. My server yesterday was pure delight she was amazing. She even helped me with my pie selection at the end of the meal. And I am so glad she helped me that coconut cream pie is to die for. The mac and cheese I had however was unevenly cooked the pasta shells on the bottom were slightly under cooked and the noodles on top were hard. Other than that the meal was tasty. The spinach mushrooms appetizer is so good I need that recipe. The crab cakes were good as well although not as colossal as the description says. I will go back.

SO good. I met up with friends for their happy hour. Drinks are all half off, and they have lovely small plate options. This is the seafood trio which was 5.95. The building is beautiful as well—it’s inside a renovated bank. Staff was really friendly, knowledgeable and professional. If I’m in DC again soon, I’ll definitely be back!
