They would be great other than being strict over little things that don’t matter that drive away good customers who are actually not under age away. I think they don’t focus on their customer base enough or customer responses enough at all. Overall, they have great beers/drinks and bartenders and would only be better with better management. They aren’t a 5-star bar in Gainesville for a reason.

I appreciate the atmosphere and the service. Pricing can be a bit inappropriate at times, and they sometimes advertise pricing deceivingly. My biggest issue is that they refuse to turn on the space heaters they have on the roof. I talked to a manger, and they refused to put them on at several people’s requests even at 55 degrees and 10mph winds. Great place, just wish it was run better.

I am a Hostess here. It is a very nice place and I'm not just saying that because I work there. It actually has very decent food and the staff are all nice people. I mean I am not the age to drink, but it's not the place that you see a lot of raging drunks and horribly rude people. This is why it's called the social because people come there for social events and family friendly dinners and lunches and other things. I say bring your wives bring your kids bring your families. It's a fun place to be. :)

Today I was denied access with my service dog in training, Hatteras, of New Horizons Service Dogs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) that provides service dogs to those with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, and children with autism. As an FYI, Under Florida state law, I am granted the EXACT SAME access rights as a disabled handler would be. I was met by a hostess with an offering of a table in a “dog only” section (it is illegal to only offer a certain part of the restaurant to those with service animals). When I asked her for a table further back, she went and got what I am assuming to be is a supervisor, as he indicated he was not the manager or an assistant manager, I unfortunately did not catch his name. He was rude, off-putting, and demeaning with his ignorant and illegal questioning. I attempted to inform him that offering only certain parts of the restaurant to those with service dogs is illegal, yet he did not care. He then demanded to see some “registration” for her. I attempted to inform him that there is no such national, governing body over all service dogs, and that anyone who claims to have their dog “registered” is breaking the law. I also told him that even asking for some sort of identification is illegal. He still did not care. I told him that this interaction was not the first I had experienced at this restaurant and that other times I had been given a table further back after informing that my dog was, indeed, a service dog. He then was combative and told me “you have only been seated here before” (gesturing to the front where dogs are allowed). I told him that was not the case. He still did not care. As someone who dedicates thousands of hours of their time and hard-earned money training dogs like these to eventually assist those who are disabled, you make it very hard for me to recommend your place of business to those who would wish to spend their time and money in your establishment. I am DISGUSTED. I sincerely hope you all get your act together regarding the Americans with Disabilities act and what questions you are legally allowed to ask. Let me assist you with that: #1. “Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?” #2. “What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?” Your supervisor flat-out LIED when he said he “asked what job the dog does for [me] and that I ‘refused to answer’”. I am writing this review to inform you that not only did you break the law, not only did you upset and anger me, you made it very clear to me that you do not care at all about your reputation as a business amongst those who are disabled. Shame on you.
