The reviews seemed hit or miss. Our experience was a definite hit. The Pasta Bolognese was great and my friend’s Mushroom Ravioli was divine. Everyone else seemed incredibly satisfied with their meal. Points taken off for the channel 7 news segment and intense fish smell (which you get use to). Service was definitely great and happy hour drinks are good. Things are fresh and not frozen.

Food has no flavor. Place smells awful for some reason and thus the food is not enjoyable. Food is way overpriced. Staff is bratty and stuck up. This place seeks to be a high-end small restaurant but it’s definitely no better than an affordable corner store restaurant. If you get a deal online for this place, it’s not even worth it. You’re still paying too much for the food even with the discount. All in all, not worthy of being called a restaurant since the food lacks anything special (and taste) and the entire atmosphere is just not good in the least. AVOID at all costs.

Our experience here regarding the service was the best we’ve had in all of Miami. Carina was our waitress and she was outstanding. The minute we finished our food it was taken off the table, waters always refilled, and we were frequently being asked if we needed anything. Food was great as well.

My husband and I went to this place tonight and it was a nice atmosphere but the waitress sounded more like a sells woman more then she did a waiter, it was like she was selling me the most expensive things on the menu which I didn’t mind paying for as long as the food was as good as she said it was. Wrong when the food came out the presentation was there but the taste wasn’t. I politely called my waitress over to let her know that I didn’t like the food and she immediately got offended and started to verbally attack me saying that she’s sorry but she could not give me a refund simple because I didn’t like the food because it was nothing wrong with the food. She then advised me that I could order something else but then I would then have to pay for that meal as well. We asked for the check then and just packaged the meal to go since we still had to pay for it.. once we received the check they also added on a service fee and she gave herself a tip. I would advise anyone who would eat at this place to go with something that you know you would because they don’t tell you that your meal is non refundable and there is no where in the facility that lets you know that your meal is non refundable.

The best Italian restaurant in South beach! Chef Claudio is very welcoming and the food is more than amazing. Their pasta dishes and salads are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Mare Mio!
