I've been working downtown for years and just never got around to trying Jerk Hut. I went today right before the lunch hour rush and I'm impressed. The jerk chicken was cooked perfect without flabby and pale skin like I've had at other places. The yellow rice and plantains were awesome too. I usually get takeout once a week, and I'm fairly certain it'll be from here until I try the whole menu.

This place is in need of a staff that reflects the tradition and authenticity of the Jamaican and Caribbean culture. For all of its music, lighting and decor, I was not impressed with the service or the effort to provide a truly authentic experience by the servers for my dollar. After researching and discovering that this is a chain, I am going to give this place a second try at a later date. I hope to see more of an effort to incorporate diversity in the staff of an establishment that is modeled after a very distinct and traditional culture, as told by its name.

Love this place. The food is great and the service is great by one guy. I don't remember his name but going here you won't regret.

Fun decor and atmosphere. The Friday night buffet is a delicious way to start the weekend. Rum and dancing makes it even better.
