Love this place! There was a long wait when we arrived but it was so worth the wait. There isn't much parking so if the lot in front is full you'll have to find parking elsewhere. The people were super friendly and the food was beyond delicious. Very good hawaiian food.

AWESOME! I was only in Honolulu for one day and this is where I had to go! I got lucky with close parking and was seated fast even though the line was pretty long. I had the kalua pig, mac salad and white rice. Food came out super fast and was absolutely amazing! Friendly staff too....and they were handling business with so many people coming through. I look forward to coming back again the next time I'm in Honolulu. THANKS!

INCREDIBLE FOOD! I definitely recommend the short ribs. I also had the Kalua pig and Luau squid. All were very tasty. It's not a fancy place and parking is minimal. I'd recommend going outside of traditional lunch / dinner times.

June 2016 Helena's hawaiian food is one the most popular for serving authentic Hawaiian cuisine. This is not a fancy place, but the food is simple tasty and delicious. I have tried other fancy places that serves authentic Hawaiian and charges a fortune, but I this is the best place you will find. Check the hours of operation which is very important. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a seat and it was worth the wait. Mahalo Helena's Hawaiian food.

Recommended by a co-worker that this was his favorite place to eat when he comes to Oahu. He wasn't wrong the food is absolutely fabulous. We ordered from menu and got sampler of dishes. We then ordered more sides. After we polished off the ribs. We had to reorder!!! Everything delicious!
