This is a great all modern American food place. Trying to use local ingredients with a modern twist on recipes. Go for special occasions, or just stop and grab their warm butter cake. All options are delicious! My partner and I mark this as our favorite restaurant in town. Do make a reservation if going for dinner. The wait time can often be 90 minutes

The food here was very good. We had a variety of appetizers and a variety of dinners (there were 10 of us). The service was OK, but I've been here before and I would chalk this up to we simply had a mediocre server. He didn't keep a very close eye on the table and wasn't paying attention. For example, we would flag him down to order a drink for a specific person who had an empty, but the server didn't bother to see who else at the table needed a drink. This happened several times. They delivered the meals to the wrong person. This is a waiter shortcoming vs. a restaurant thing (although they did hire him). My immediate previous experience was a better example of having a great waiter. I've eaten here before, and is always the case, the food was quite good. For a downtown eatery (great location), the prices are about what's expected and really pretty reasonable. We will eat here again -- I'm looking forward to it.

Had dinner last Friday with my best friend, and was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and the quality of the food. I’ve been to Fork many times for brunch and dinner, however Friday’s visit went above and beyond my expectations. I had the prime rib which for $31, was worth every penny. My friend The salmon which was excellent and we enjoyed about a $50 bottle of wine which was paired by our server with our meal. The restaurant manager was floating through the restaurant stopping at different tables including our own to ask us how our experience was or how she could improve it. That level of service is not often found in restaurants anymore. We were very pleased and decided to return the next day for a drink before brunch with our gang of friends. The bartender the next day was entertaining knowledgeable and very charming, as we set at the bar the restaurant manager stopped by and touched my arm and said “so happy to see you two again”! We were blown away, there’s a reason why this restaurant stays in view in downtown Boise, as you know a lot of restaurants come and go, but Fork has been a staple now for close to five years... It only continues to get better. Highly recommended, if I could give them 10 stars I would.

Fork is crowded and a bit pricey, but worth the wait and the cost. Most of their food and drinks are sourced locally, and tagged with their locations. Even the cocktails are made with local spirits! The boneless short rib was tender and the mushroom sauce that came with it was amazing. For cocktails, the vanilla bourbon manhattan had a weird clove or nutmeg weird taste, maybe in the bitters. However the house lemonade with berries and vodka was perfect. Decent beer list almost all from local breweries too.
