Delicious food! Jerk catfish, oxtails are the best! The red beans & rice are exquisite. Best in the business. Anytime I'm in the south suburbs, this is a definite stop food good food. Family owned establishment, wonderful customer service!

First time here and I must say it’s disappointing to me. I’m new to the neighborhood and decided to google Jerk restaurants near me and chose this place because of the rating. Entered the door and you have 2 young adults workin the front desk. They both have zero customer service skills. The young Whom took our order sat on a stool by the wall very nonchalant and with an uninviting disposition. I felt extremely rushed while my order was being taken considering I just walked in the door 1st time there and was trying to look an see what they had to offer😩. The young man that where there was just as nonchalant as the young lady more interested in what’s on their cell phone than the customers at hand. Their body language was blah and Very disappointing. I’m not sure how the food is quite yet because I’m still waiting but considering I’m really big upon customer service seeing that I work in the customer service field as well I know for a fact. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE NOR RECOMMEND IT. My advice is get a better front desk staff before they drive your business down.

I used to love this place...I was a regular bcus I lived in the neighborhood. Lately it's been horrible. I ordered my usual the jerk chicken salad. My 7 yr old granddaughter said " your food doesn't look good" she opened my package bcus she likes to eat the chicken. She was right, I looked at it, the chicken was obviously old and some pieces were hard as rocks and very dark. I called and told them about it, the lady said I can come back. I went back the next day. It was just ok. So today I tried again, mediocre at best. Cashier has no customer service skills. When are the owners coming back? While they are away opening another store in Atlanta, this out is gonna be out of business. If anyone knows how to reach the owners, please let em know, several customers are unhappy with the food and service😠. Oh yes, no jerk sauce with the salad today. I'm done....Eia

I love this place. If I could afford it I would eat here everyday. I have read some of the reviews trashing Ya Mon, but I have no clue why. The food here is amazing. Well, I can kind of understand why someone would not like the customer service, but not because of the young ladies that take your order. They are amazing and sweet. I am talking about Ya Mon not being open on Sundays and only accepting cash. I can understand being closed on Monday, but from a pure business perspective being closed on Sunday for a food business is crazy. Hire a weekend crew so you not loosing out on money. Also always having to go to the ATM everytime before I buy my food is an annoying inconvience. Nobody carries cash these days. I talked to the owner and asked why, and he said he did not want to pass the fees to the customer. I would not mind being charged an extra $0.50 cent for using my debit card, as opposed to paying for ATM fees that cost just as much as my meal. I know this long review may seem like I am trashing Ya Mon, but please believe I am not. I gave 5 stars cause I am addicted. If I had the say so I would want there to be just as many Ya Mon's as there is McDonalds. Also they would be open 24 hours to cure my late night jerk cravings.
