Please, all the expert foodies who don't know old fashioned Creole cuisine from molecular gastronomy should give this place a break. During my first visit in decades, I noticed that the whole vibe was to make this restaurant more accessible to the golf shirt crowd. The service was informal, and attentive. The food was good. It did not make me swoon -- and it is not as outrageously good as Commanders or Galatoires -- but it is good and absolutely competent. It was fun -- and I will go back. Eat there.

Excellent service. The food was good though perhaps not as good as what I had built up in my mind. The oysters Rockefeller fell short perhaps because I was expecting an out of body experience. I got the lunch special of tomato basil soup and seafood and grits. Both were good. The atmosphere was steeped in history. Overall it was well worth it.

Fantastic location with all of the history & memorabilia that adorns the various rooms. The food was good but not as great as we were expecting given its storied history. Kinda disappointed to see & taste that the hollandaise sauce was obviously a powder version instead of fresh. I can understand given the volume that they probably turn out & it tasted decent but was really expecting fresh made given Antoine's reputation & the price. Might come back to give them another try, albeit it with a different set of expectations.

This is a "collared shirt" kind of restaurant. We had some issues with ordering because we said we were looking for a Gluten Free menu option. Most of the places we visited were VERY accommodating to this! We asked our waiter three times to check with the cook to see if the sauce was made with flour and three times he said he'd go and ask and never did. When the food came out, I spoke with a different waiter and asked if he could check the flour status. He stated that all the sauces have flour but he'd go to check. When he came back he said the food was gluten free and was safe to eat but it didn't build up our confidences. The dish was a Celiac safe dish but it seemed way too hard to get an answer. The food was good but not "wow!". I don't think I'd eat here again just because there are other places that are more accommodating to dietary restrictions.

This is a must do on the list. Said to be one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans it is awesome. Went for lunch and it was so tasty. Service is second to none!!!!! Dress code, well everyone from t-shirts to suits, all are welcome! Also have 14 dinning rooms which they encourage you to have a look around, reason for all the pictures. A must a the list!!!!
