The fresh oysters are downright amazing! Everything is prepared with great care and plenty of flavor. The gumbo is darn good but not best around. It is an upscale place with upscale prices but very busy trendy and romantic crowds. The crab cakes were absolutely, ridiculously good comfort food. Nice wine list and selection of beers on draft. Worth the prices for an occasional nice night out or special lifetime milestone.

What can I say more! Consistency and quality food and dining in downtown Ponchatoula! We enjoyed the oysters for an appetizer followed by our entrees and topped the evening off with dessert and fresh coffee. A real treat for my wife and I @ ROUX AND BREW! Thanks Hannah for your excellent service! We'll be back!

Fast service, amazing staff, and delicious food! Seafood as well as steak and sides were all perfect! Local is always best. Glad a local recommend them. Definitely worth it!

First round of Charbroiled and raw oysters were great! Second round of charbroiled, after quite a wait, were barely warm. When we told the waitress, she made the excuse that it was because they had gotten busier than they were earlier. Don’t care for excuses, just give us hit, charbroiled oysters. Why not bring them out when they’re hot?? Seemed as though they waited for the dozen raw we ordered with them to be prepared so that they could be brought out at the same time. Oysters excellent, service so-so.

A group of coworkers and I met here today to discuss travel plans for a group trip and the food was delicious, there are several dish selections to choose from and with a great attentive waitress the visit was awesome. Also I would like to add the restaurant is spacious, clean and classy. We will definitely be visiting again!!
