Horrible service. So so slow. Multiple times I had to get up and walk to the bar to ask for things I needed. This would make sense if they were slammed, but it was only my table and like one other table. Food was okay except a tiny bowl of guac was 5 dollars. The blueberry margarita was good. They really need better servers.

Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome! And our waitress was phenomenal! Great price, too. Will definitely be back.

Yummy, Mexican-American food, drinks, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service. La Carreta has become one of my family's favorite places to eat. My children recommend the queso dip... they love it so much they call La Carreta "the cheese store." I personally haven't found anything I dislike at La Carreta. I recommend the frozen mango margarita, especially if you like your drinks sweet, fruity and strong.

I have visited the Ponchatoula location a few times and am constantly pleased. Their barbacoa tacos are delicious as are the flautas. Margaritas are good. But the stand out is their fajitas. Absolutely delicious. The only thing I would skip is the queso. It lacks depth of flavor and just tastes like melted white cheddar or american cheese. Definitely the best mexican ive found on the north shore so far

OMG we were traveling and accidentally stumbled across this place...the shrimp tacos are to die for!!! The blueberry basil margarita...say what!!! The service was excellent! There were absolutely no downfalls of this place except maybe the freezing cold bathroom lol....excellent....excellent...excellent....I even recommended that my sister drive all the way from Slidell to experience this hidden gem!!!
