A great place for lunch in Lewiston. Simone's is near Kennedy Park (in Lewiston), and if you like burgers and dogs, Simone's has been serving them up since 1908. The place is family-owned, and the prices are great. The interior is clean, the staff are all super-friendly, and the food - for what it is - is delicious. Overall, it's not "fine cuisine" but you can't beat the prices. Definitely check them out.

I'm not exactly sure how this place gets such a good rating online or why they claim to be 'world famous' because my general impression of their lunch menu was less than favorable and I won't be returning to eat here. My boyfriend and I ordered a Reuben sandwich and a loaded cheese hot dog to split. The Reuben sandwich was disgustingly greasy, dripping oil literally every single bite. We barely ate half of it between the two of us and threw the rest out. The hot dog itself was cooked well and tasted decent, but the bun wasn't grilled or cooked so it was soggy from the toppings and cheese, making it a bit unpleasant to eat. Also, the bread itself didn't taste very fresh like it'd been sitting around a bit too long to serve to people. And to top it off, both of us felt unwell a couple hours later, which is a sign of cross contamination (poor food handling/employees not properly washing hands) or foods not being refrigerated at proper temperature to keep from spoiling. I imagine the only people who would enjoy this type of food are those that east fast/deeply fried food regularly and use that as their standard for restaurant choice.

Absolutely love this joint no matter if it's been 5 years since I last ate there.

If you’re looking for a delicious, inexpensive and quick meal, on top of exceptional service, then Simones’ Hot Dog Stand is the place to visit! Jim and his wife provide delectable food, in addition to a warm, home-y feeling environment, while connecting with each customer on a personal level. I’ve been visiting Simones’ since I was a kid, and would highly recommend them for a great dining experience!
