Sea Level Oyster Bar was my favorite restaurant stop in Salem. It is a beautiful space with plenty of room whether you choose to sit at the bar or with a group of people. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which was a huge help for me as this was my first experience eating oysters. The bartender walked me through the process of choosing oysters and offering one of the many local brews on tap. For lunch, I had 6 oysters and a cup of clam chowder soup. Perfect for a day on the coast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Salem.

Friendly staff and great vibes. True to it’s name, we sat right at sea level looking out over the water. The view was amazing and really set the tone for what would turn out to be a great experience. Tried out the Lobster roll and the clam chowder and I was not disappointed. Everything tasted excellent. The chips in a paper bag was a nice touch too. Definitely worth checking out next time you’re in Salem!

Went here with my husband and loved it. Had the swordfish and the sauce that went with it, was really great. Overall service waa great and the view was very peaceful. Can't wait to go again.

We went on a Saturday night...had no trouble being seated...or waiter was great, attentive without being smothering (and he did NOT ask how everything was as soon a we took a bite of food!) We tried the Chowder Fries...delicious...between the two of us it did not last long. He had the Fisherman's Platter...couldn't even finish it all...he says the scallops were perfectly cooked and the shrimp... Well, he accidentally almost ate the tail shell it was that good. I had the seafood casserole...it was served over mashed potatoes...while scalloped, big pieces of lobster, shrimp.. (my only "complaints"..not sure if it was just the seasonings, but the potatos made me think of instant, and the sauce was a dark pink/orange-red color... usually it's a pale color so, a I said, maybe it was just the choice of seasonings...but delicious nonetheless... And even better the next day!)
