Had about all you can take of the corny Goth side of Salem? Howling Wolf is a great laid back escape with gorgeous decor, amazing food, and super reasonable prices. They start you off with warm chips and house salsa. Burritos are massive, I need to split or take home leftovers. Fried avocado tacos are super different and super delicious. Patio dining is lovely when the weather is warm. Just a block or so away from local artist studios. Many an OKC first date has been saved from being total disaster just because this restaurant is so darn good :)

Howling Wolf Taqueria has amazing nachos. We need to get them every time we go...dining in or take out. The food is good. Has some variety of choices. The fried ice cream is a nice dessert treat. The negative is the small dining space. I feel like everyone is on top of each other. Then add the staff zooming around and during their busy dining hours. Just too tight, which leads to it being so loud. I do recommend going just not with a big group.

I do not know what they put in their food but I have a veritable addiction to Howling Wolf. I could eat it every day and be perfectly happy. What's good? Everything. My best friend's favorite is one avocado taco, one fish taco, and a swimming pool full of queso. I am all about a rice and bean burrito with black beans, lettuce, fried plantains, and fried avocado. Try it. The kitchen (bless them) might hate you, but your stomach will thank you. An added bonus is how little a burrito that weighs as much as a healthy newborn costs. Go, quickly. Eat and be merry. You are welcome, sweet angel babies.

Most of the times when I read 'Taqueria' I think of a wannabe Mexican restaurant. This one is the exception to that rule. Great selection of plates, menu is gourmet and extremely delicious. The drinks are really good. It is almost always busy and crowded but is worth the wait to be seated. I strongly recommend it

We've been coming here for years and still love the food, drinks and service just as much. Family friendly and the prices can not be beat. Amazing chips and salsa as well as everything else. Bring quarters for the parking meters!
