Good food and fun atmosphere in Marquette. Great southern and Louisiana cooking. The menu includes a glossary of Cajun food terminology that delightfully described the selections. The hot sauce bar was fun and interesting. We sat with children and everyone found something that they enjoyed. A few food errors and sporadic service prevented the fifth star, but I recommend and will go again.

Best place to eat in Marquette! Authentic cajun food with tons of heat! You can increase the heat level made to order too. For my family that doesn't like heat, they still have options... which is impressive. I avoid wheat and dairy, and this place is super easy to eat at. Which is really saying something. That pesky wheat is in everything. Most items are breaded in corn and fried in peanut oil... so assuming you can eat corn and peanut oil... you can find plenty of whole hearty food to eat. :) The owner watched and laughed as me and my sister cried, while eating *are you freaking kidding me* heat level buffalo wings. It was awesome!

Great experience! I was in for an early dinner tonight (4pm). The food came out quickly and it was exactly the same as the last time I ate it. I ate at the bar and Erik made sure I had everything I needed. He's a very experienced bartender, and has been with the place for about 12 years, but he still measured every drink he poured(consistency). He is very knowledgeable about the menu and which drinks would work best with your meal. He offered another patron at the bar a beer that would pair well with her oysters, which he shucked at the bar while making small talk and making sure everyone had what they needed. If you're looking for consistently good food and good conversation, eat at the bar any day (closed Sunday and Monday) after 4pm. The only criticism I have is that the menu is too large. It's very intimidating, but it's also probably the only place you can get food like this in the U.P. I guess if you're gonna do Cajun food this far north, you better do it all. Just tell Erik what you like and I'm sure he'll be able to recommend the perfect dish.

Awesome authentic creole food in the heart of the up. And if you're not feeling food their bar is fully stocked and has some of the best bar tenders in the area. It's the only place to get an absinthe drip. Definitely try the grit cakes.
