I have eaten here on many occasions. The food and service have consistently been high quality. Great decor and warm atmosphere. My last visit on Wednesday evening was my first negative experience. The waitress told us what the day's specials were. There is no insert in the menu listing the specials, so it is all done verbally. Item prices were not mentioned. She recommended the prime rib, but there was only one left. My friend ordered the prime rib and I chose something else. The food was delicious, but we were shocked when we got the bill and discovered the prime rib was $120. I was very disappointed that we were not told the cost before ordering, especially given there was no insert listing prices. I assumed the specials would be aligned with the price range of the menu, not over four times the cost of the average dish. It is deceiving.

Good food and ambience for a special dinner although I was disappointed when my son's order was wrong (entirely) and had to be reordered. The rest of the table had our meals, he didn't. We were done when his meal was served. The restaurant comped him a dessert. It just felt like too little of an effort. That said, I'd give Bistro another go.

The best place for food service and atmosphere, go stand in line at times. Worth the wait!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. It's one of our favorite places in downtown Rochester.
