Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, plated nicely, had tasty vegetables served with it, and had excellent portion sizes (picture posted with review). They had excellent desserts, I had the chocolate torte which had a nice rich flavor, my father had the custard truffle which also had a nice flavor and came with plenty of delicious fresh fruits. Restaurant was clean, and was not very busy when I visited. The online menu on google did not match the in restaurant menu, however, so I ended up getting the rosemary porterhouse pork chop.

I am writing from the bar perspective. They had a solid selection of beers. Ace was our server on Thanksgiving and was fantastic! They make an amazing Jameson ginger ale without ginger ale.

If Baxter Bar told some a strip-search was required, some would probably let them. My wife and I went to eat last night (we are both nearly 70 yrs old) and when we ordered, we asked for 2 glasses of beer in addition to our meals. Waitress came back and said she needed to see our ID's. She said they check the back of all licenses to see if there are any codes on the back. We will not turn our drivers licenses over to anybody that could then scan them or whatever before bringing them back. We went to the Black Bear Restaurant then and had a great meal and beer without interference from a waitress and bar tender.

We enjoy sitting on the patio of this little bar. I consider it more hidden, I don't see many locals around. They also have pretty good food if you're looking for a meal
