We spent the morning at the Asheboro Zoo and were pretty ravenous after. Looked up some restaurants on Yelp and saw the Flying Pig. Sounded interesting so we decided to give them a try. I'm so glad we did! The place is downtown in a super cute, retro area. Atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. Service was prompt. Our waitress said they're known for their great pizzas so we ordered a Pig's Special. Best pizza I've had in a long time! We are already planning on making a day trip out here again just to explore the cute downtown area and eat at the Flying Pig again!

They have fantastic pizza! Gooey with cheese, piping hot and delicious.. our waitress was excellent; they make their onion rings there and they were crispy, not greasy and wonderful. Waitress talked us into cheesecake for dessert; I had the cappuccino cheesecake and my date had the peanut butter. Those are made by the owners wife and maybe the best I have ever eaten . Highly recommended and will be back!

My husband and I were in town for the day after going to the zoo. We saw it and stopped in. The food and the service was excellent! We had Erica as or server. This was truly a diamond in the rough place...we will be back when we're back in town. Thanks so much.

Love the place the food on the menu is great would have given it 5 stars but the menu has not changed in years. To their credit they pack the place so why screw with success and change the menu? All in all a nice place.

Very friendly staff. Amazing food. Super fun atmosphere even for families with kids. We will definitely be going back if we're in the area!
