Friendly people small building hides big flavor inside. Another great version of Carolina BBQ

This is a place that I have been going to since the 70's and yes somethings have changed over the years but it has the best chopped barbecue on a bun with a dash of hot sauce and I always order it with sweet tea or sometimes coffee it depends on the weather my mom used to get food from there and she bought me and my wife what we wanted to eat and she would give me enough money to pay for it and then we all would eat it with our drinks and now she has been gone for years now she passed away when she was 69 years old but me and my wife still eat there if we have enough money to pay for it but the people who work there are very nice and I have a good friend who works there and he sometimes gives me a huge strafoam cup with a lid and a straw

Went in for my first time and I was getting an order to go. Food was received quickly. I got a BBQ sandwich with slaw. It was really good. I would go back there again. Inside of the place not much to talk about.

Hops is a historic landmark and I eat breakfast here often. The food and service is good; what is not to like? They are very inexpensive too. They have staples like grits, delicious southern biscuits and even gravy. You read that correctly: I said biscuits and gravy in the same sentence. There should be lines out the door trying to get seated.
