I liked Kindred a lot. The decor is really clean, modern, and minimal. The food is good, but I wish that the small plates were priced a little more reasonably. The milk bread is amazing, and everything else was good too. I also liked that the bartenders will create a specialty drink for you based on what you're feeling that night. I'd definitely go again, since it's such a nice, intimate restaurant that's perfect for a date.

The restaurant itself is amazing. The decor is so cute and love the vibe. We ate the bar which was really neat. I did the barkeep’s choice drink and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the drink was. THE BREAD IS THE BEST THING EVER. Loved the oysters, but my husband wasn’t a fan. They were super salty. The beef tartar and duck fat potatoes were phenomenal! The dessert was amazing. We got the cinnamon roll - totally worth the actual calories.

Great food and service; very unique. Expensive, but memorable. If you mention that you are celebrating a birthday, they will give you a free piece of cake. It will be tasty, but you will probably be too full to enjoy it. The duck fat potatoes are a must for French fry lovers.

We start salivating a week before our reservation! With so many delicious choices, we all order 2 or 3 different dishes right down the middle of the table and share an amazing meal! Wonderful wine and great service - couldn’t ask for more!

Outstanding. Well worth the drive up from Charlotte. One of those rare menus where every single item sounds just as good as the others--like an album with no filler songs on it. Love the blend of little hexagonal tile patterns, wood, weathered brick, and glass (i.e. big windows) driving the decor. The milk bread cinnamon roll is a must for the finale, though one need be careful not to fill too far up beforehand.
