I love Macs Speed Shop. If I've noticed anything by trying out the differant locations in Charlotte, it's that they found a formula and stuck to it. Which is a good thing in my opinion. Food is excellent. Especially the Baked Potato Salad. That's outstanding. The Red BBQ Sauce is so great I had to buy a bottle to take home! On Mondays they have 3 dollar drafts on an ever evolving draft list. Don't forget to join the Beer Club if you plan of frequenting this place like I do.

Lunch was great. I ordered the brisket (lean) with a side of mac'n' cheese. I had the deviled eggs as an appetizer. Temperature was great in the food, but the deviled eggs were flat. I was so disappointed I really expected better flavor from the deviled eggs. Sweet tea was great also, I didn't stay for dessert. A waitress drop several drinks behind me which splashed my pant legs snd sweater. I Definitely will come back and look forward to exploring the menu. Only reason I didn't give five stars is because the deviled eggs seemed like an after thought on the menu.

Tonight was very enjoyable. I found the food to be extraordinarily delicious, the service was spot on and live music! It is hard to find good live music. That was the thing that kept me there the whole time.

The food was mediocre! Definitely just a 3 out of 5. We felt like everything was not crisp and cooked well. We shared a bunch of apps - wings, burnt ends and onion rings. Everything seemed stale and like it had been prepared earlier in the evening. Especially the onion rings. And I ordered two margaritas. The first one was great and seemed like fresh squeezed ingredients. The second one was a totally different color as if they had switched to a mixer. We were disappointed with the food, but service and atmosphere were great!! We probably will go back but only for a fun time with friends and not for the food!

Pulled pork should not be hard to get right, but this place is the only consistently good BBQ I've found. Best brisket by far and for a starter the burnt ends are a must. They stay busy but always take care of us once seated.
