It's been a while since I've been to Sal's. They have renovated so there is a bit more room when you walk in. Probably ADA complint now. I had the steak burger which was nice and lean but to well done. I prefer them a medium rare. Even as cooked as it was it was tasty. Also had the fried zucchini and a bowl of wedding soup. Both were good but no different that what you might get at other local Italian bistros.

Very busy on Friday however service is still pretty good did not wait long for food. Red sauce was very good and thick unlike a lot of other places. My wife's hurricane drink was very good and tasty. Fish special was great and fried just right. My only complaint is we did encounter a few fruit flies but that happens. We ended up sitting by the bar area since that was open and we did not have to wait.

I just sat down it is a nice family Italian eatery I will edit my review when finished with meal but as it stands never been in a restaurant where I could not order bottle of wine cause I am eating only but it is ok to order as many 22 oz beers as I want. I have also never been in a place when you ask for garlic bread and it is two cold slices of bread with cold garlic butter on the side not warm toasted garlic bread I am Italian and have owned my own Italian restaurant for 17 years so for kinda disappointed so far but will edit this review. My edit still three star shells were tasty server great. The cold bread came with meal if you want side of garlic bread was 1.95 which was the same as cold except they charge you to put the butter on and toast it for you crazy. When in area next probably won’t stop here. Great job for the server.

Clean, food is good, good service, music is loud. Great hsppy hour and drink specials. Bar area is good to sit in if restaurant is full. I asked server to turn down and she did. Hard to get a table at dinner, always very busy. Decor tacky in the extreme.

We have been going to this place for years! Probably once a month at least. Love the food! Love the service! Great family restaurant atmosphere on one side, great after-work watering hole on the other.
