00000000 STARS I use to live in Ohio and went to the restaurant several times when they 1st opened. I was happy to find a good authentic West Indian restaurant, locally owned. Talked with the owner each time. He appeared to be a great owner. However today will be my LAST time!!! As I was in town for the weekend I thought it would be great to stop by and grab some food I know for sure is going to be good. The food was pretty good as expected BUT the owner, the same guy I spoke with several times, was TOTALLY Disrespectful to the Caucasian lady working the register as he was preparing my food. Without going into details, he basically told her to SHUT UP and STAY IN HER PLACE. Because she made a comment about the lid being wet from the steam. I was totally not expecting that. I felt for her as a woman and as an employee. She didn’t respond negatively but I should have for her! Yeah I’m done!

Id been wanting to try Irie for something different. I finally made it in for lunch and it did Not disappoint. Different is So good here. The oxtails were tender, rich and flavorful. The portion was really generous, as was the cornbread, which was fresh, hearty and had the perfect touch of sweetness. Omar is creating a great vibe here on 185th St., uniting people over good food, something to really appreciate, support and enjoy~

The food is excellent. The cabbage is seasoned perfectly as well as the jerk & curry chicken. One of the best Jamaican Restaurants in Cleveland. I am hooked...will definitely go back soon. Not to mention the service was quick.

This is my go to restaurant as I know the food and service is of excellence every time I visit. This is a place that I recommend to all. I'm actually eating a bowl as I write this rating. I live 40 miles away and I'm a regular. It's just that good!
