I agree with several other comments here. I've been bringing my family of 5 to this restaurant since it opened. We used to go almost once a week. Great food, very affordable. However, lately, we've been SO disappointed. First, the employees there look filthy to me. They are not polite anymore. Even at the door, the hostesses are pretty rude and seem completely unaware of what's going on. My usual order was always 2 soft chicken tacos. They use to come out and feel fresh and were filling. Now, they are crinkled dried up tortillas that fit in these tiny little metal racks. WAY smaller than they used to be. Yet the price has only gone up. My kids always got tacos. But for whatever reason, they decided it would be a good idea for little kids to BUILD THEIR OWN TACOS. Are you crazy? Fortunately, my kids are slightly older now so they don't make a complete mess, but they give them way too much meat not enough of anything else. Our plates were dirty last time we went and our feet were sticking to the floor as we walked on it. Gross. Our food wasn't hot, just the plates were. Instead of getting rice on your plate they now bring a "family" bowl. Well, it's not enough for my family. And then it takes forever to get another bowl. So, we are very sad to say goodbye to this restaurant. We loved it for so long, but we've had all we can take and we will not be returning.

Food came out quickly! Tacos were cold - rice was cold -beans were hot. Server [Corinna} brought out check didn't ask if we wanted dessert so I asked. Sopillas were good coffee was cold. Not a good experience!

Great staff, good food. Occasionally a long wait for food. Have been here as a couple and as a large family with toddlers and the staff was always ready to get us anything we required. The chimi platter with black beans is a fav and their alcoholic beverages are very generously portioned.

Was my first and my last time that I will ever go there again. I arrived with my sister at around 10pm and they close 11pm, so I was hesistant to go in at first but we were hungry and weren’t going to stop any where else. At first, there were no greeters for about 5 minutes, we were just standing there staring at people eat their food. Then we were provided menus and guided to a table where there were crumbs and napkins everywhere underneath the table. We sat and ordered our food, which was not bad, tacos were good 👌🏼 But what made the experience terrifying were the unprofessional employees. I was very uncomfortable and disgusted by the employees that work at On the border. I understand it was almost closing time but these female staff had made rude and disrespectful comments such as, quote “I will go, I will go to each table and tell them to get out because we are closing soon.” Other staff were laughing and chiming in, and some just looked pissed off at every customer that walked in after us. It’s unfortunate that such a good restaurant has such poor service and unprofessional staff, this will be the reason they shut down one day. I’m glad to say, will never go there again. It’s not just the food that make the restaurant, it’s the service and the respect of the employees as well 🙏🏼

Decent prices for the area and good service, but the food always seems to come out like it's been sitting under the burners for way too long. Super hot plates and hard, dried cheese. Alot of refried beans and barely any meat.
