all of the staff were extremely cordial and took very good care of my guest and myself and the food was fantastic. I will definitely return again.

Ernie's Texas Lunch is the classic hot dog experience and is a great place to stop for lunch. The hot dogs are to die for, and burgers and other menu items are very good as well. Has both a bar and booths, and has overall good service. Would recommend for a lunch or dinner.

Ernie's Texas Lunch, in Gettysburg is one of those quaint little places, that once you stop in for a bite to eat, you are transported back to a pleasant place in time! Its decor immediately makes one remember the Coca Cola memorabilia, the barstools, at the counters and soda fountains. The booths are bright red and cheery. The Texas Hotdog, the chili smells delicious, and your appetite is suddenly enticed for the yester year of the 50's and 60's. Ernie's staff are immediately welcoming, and friendly which tops off the whole experience. Thankfully, I live across the street, at Ernie's original address, and the pleasant smells come right up my back stairs!

This place is busy and kinda small inside. They serve smaller dinner style menu. Breakfast , sandwiches, subs, fried foods too. Kids menu start at $4.99 and up. Serve with 1 side and drink. They also have lunch combo start from $6.99 to $8.99. And it varies. Some, comes with side and some of them just come with a drink only. Most people that goes there, ordered subs or sandwiches. And they're famous with that. Food portion was kinda smaller compare the price that you pay. But for being in downtown area, I guess it's fair.

Tiny 1950s themed diner with great food and super reasonable prices. Nothing not too love.
