Had dinner. The iced tea was good and I enjoyed the Reuben. The Caeser side salad was fine. My wife enjoyed her fish and chips but was less enthusiastic about her strawberry sangria as the frozen strawberries didn't impart much fruit taste to the drink. Our server was friendly and noticed when our drinks needed refilling but left the plate for the salad when serving the main dishes even though the salad plate was empty. Not a big deal but a trifle surprising.

Went there with my wife while shopping. Very nice atmosphere. Food was decent. Service was slow. I would recommend trying at least once. The English pub food is good.. wife had Guinness stew. If service was better, it would have been a nicer experience

Food was sub-par. I got a chicken walnut salad. The chicken looked worse than the kind that comes out of a big bag of pre-cooked Tyson grilled chix from the grocer's. It almost had a grey tone to it. It was gummy, like something that was cooked a while ago, frozen and just reheated. My kids' meals were tiny. My mother got a quiche - she's not picky and she barely touched it, claiming it was too thick and heavy. Only the fried fish and chips were decent (which they should at least get that right). Ambience is nice. Waitress was OK, but could've been more present.

I'd just finished a very long, grueling medical test at the hospital. Since this hospital is over an hour away from our house, we figured we'd try somewhere different. Elephant & Castle is at least that. Honestly, I should have known better than to choose English cuisine. I like big flavors, in part due to my medical issues dulling my sense of taste. English fare is suited to people who like things more simple. Everything was just bland. I'd blame it on my taste issues, but the rest of my family felt the same way. It was still better than hospital food, though. Service was fine, if a little slow. Any place can have that at times, so I'm not too fussed. It's not someplace I would choose to go to again, but that's just personal preference. For someone else, this might be exactly what they want.

Place was clean. Wait staff very attentive. Price was average and comparable to some of the local chain restaruants. Most meals feel in the $10-$20 range. Two of us got the Fish and Chips which were very good. The portion size was large. One of us got a cheese burger, which was done exactly to her liking. We also got the loaded chips which were very tasty and a good size for 3 to share.
