Passage to India is one of my most favorite places to eat. Every time I have someone visit from out of the area I always recommend eating here. The food is so amazingly flavorful and fresh. The staff is so friendly and the owners make you feel like a special family member. The dining room is the most beautiful and unique in Harrisburg.

Really good Indian food, very friendly staff ...... daily buffet is great, table service is even better. I would give 6 stars if I could. Love these guys

Years ago this was a favorite spot, but as more convenient locations for decent Indian food sprang up, I visited much less often. After a long absence, I recently returned a couple of times to see it much the way I remembered, though less busy. It has a striking dining area and a small bar that seem somewhat tended to, though it's not as upscale as one might think from interior photos, with fake flowers and worn and dated fixtures. The entrance, though perhaps once fancy, is a bit shabby and has been for as long as I can remember, and the men's room can be described the same way. Nice fixtures, but dirty and awkwardly placed, leaving an impression of a poor attention to detail and a mere façade of elegance. But it's all about the food. I remember enjoying every visit in the past, whether for the lunch buffet or dinner entrees, and excellent table service, but my two recent dinner visits have fallen within the OK to boring range. The server was attentive the first time, but last time the fellow seemed to either hate his job, or have some issue with me and my partner. Because of the memories here, I plan to return for the buffet again soon to see if I enjoy it as much as I used to or if there really has been a decline.

Incredible flavors! The rice is now cooked with oil rather than butter, making this a vegan friendly dining option. I especially enjoyed the okra and and the chickpea next appetizer. Fast and courteous service, great atmosphere inside.

We had to celebrate Valentine's Day one day early. We both had other plans tomorrow. I couldn't think of any place I'd rather go! As usual the food was amazing and excellent service. Thank you so much!
