Best seafood in Pa. always cooked perfectly! In an effort to give us great service, I felt slightly rushed. Our salads arrived in just a few minutes and we didn't have time to just sit for a short time to relax after an hours drive. Shortly after we received our lobster bisque(awesome!) but I wasn't done with my salad. Trying to quickly finish my salad, my soup cooled, but because it was so good I was ok with that. Our entrees quickly followed and our table was completely filled with salads, soups and now entrees. I was slightly overwhelmed with food. I wanted to tell our server to relax. We chilled for quite awhile after our dishes were quickly removed. Finally, relaxing before dessert. Key lime pie was wonderful!

Very nice ambiance... Our waitress was also very nice, and attentive, but my food, which was actually a Turkey BLT, took forever. I'm comfortable to say that it took at least 30 minutes. The waitress did apologize a few times for the delay with my food, she also offered me a complimentary dessert, which I did not accept, because I did not want dessert, by the time that I got my food, I was no longer hungry, also my friends were done, and ready to leave but, I must say that my sandwich was huge, and very nicely served also very good.

From the start, the experience was not anything like some of the other reviews claim. People were lined up the whole way to the hostess desk. We checked in for our reservation and were told our table wasn't ready, and they didn't know when the current occupants would be leaving. While we stood off to the side waiting, 3 other groups checked in. Another group of 4, a group of 2 and a group of 6...all were seated before us. The hostess looked at us and said, "oh, what's your name again?" Once we got to a table, it took a long while for our waitress to get our drink order. She obviously thought sarcasm was the best defense for the poor service. The sarcasm and providing minimal attention to my table was the behavior we received the entire evening. Until it was time to pay, of course. $120 later, she was quick to drop off and pick up the check. All in all, the service was poor, I have eaten much better food for less money and have never felt more cramped with 4 people at a table in my life. The added bonus was the paper napkins...Not trying to sound petty, but they charge "fine dining" prices without the fine dining atmosphere, food or service. Needless to say, we will not be returning to The Paddock in York.

I would first say try to call ahead, as this place is super busy. We decided to stop in, on Easter, with no sitting available. The wait was gonna be awhile-but we chose to sit at the bar-gonna order a drink anyways-might as well! The owner came over and apologized for the seating arrangements. He asked us if we had any allergies-which was surprising, but thoughtful. He came and talked with us several times and made sure we were good. The bartender was amazing. She was super busy and still tended to us. The food was amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful. This will be one of our new staples we will start going to.

I love the Paddock! They serve awesome food, and it’s a really nice environment. It’s a great place to go on a warm night to sit on the patio and enjoy dinner. Would highly recommend. Bonus points for their hand cut fries!
