Location is beautiful (ask for a patio table). Food was fresh, tasty, and presentably put together. Service was typical of southern hospitality (that is, exceptional). Highly recommend the Fried Okra as an appetizer (you're welcome), and the Chicken & Waffles as entree. If you leave Charleston without going here and ordering those two items - you're doing Charleston wrong!

We were attending a conference and our dinner cruise got cancelled due to weather. They welcomed our large group with a few hours notice. Then gave us great service. The drinks and food were amazing. I had the swordfish with crab risotto. Both were cooked perfectly. We finished the night with fresh key lime pie. I am from Florida and know key lime pie. This was so fresh and tart. It was the perfect ending to our dinner.

Our party enjoyed our meal at Lowcountry. We all had different meals and overall everyone was pleased. The standout foods were the crab cakes and the mixer green salad. It's hard to make a salad good enough to review but this one was awesome! It had roasted fennel bulbs, and crispy sweet potato straws. The crab cake was the perfect ratio of cake and crab. The only negative thing we had to say was the wait from the time we placed our orders till we got our food was a hour. The restaurant wasn't overly busy so I can just assume the kitchen was backed up.

In my top 5 favorite restaurants in Charleston. I love cozy restaurants and this one definitely fit the bill. Perfect ambiance, felt like I was in a quaint home. Food was amazing - the filet on special was the best I’ve had in years. Unique drinks as well. Great service.

Love this place! Very good assortment of low country type foods. Meal size is ample and very flavorful. Atmosphere is also very Charlestonian. Moderate prices
