If you like home cooking, delicious pastries, gourmet coffees, vibrant atmosphere, and sweet, caring staff, you'll want to experience Milam Street. Their breakfasts are to DIE for, and their lunch special (which changes each day) never disappoints. I can't speak highly enough about them--the delicious food, amazing people, and cozy lounge corner will make you never want to leave. (They also sell homemade jellies and preserves, and bags of their amazing coffee.) If you're looking for a place to stop and eat, don't pass up Milam Street--you'll miss out on a truly delicious experience. (And if you're not sure what coffee to order, ask for a "Melodey"--it's delicious, you'll love it)

I was starving this morning and came across the cafe and stopped in. The Denver omlette was wonderful! Coffee bar had a great selection and the dark roast some of the best I ever had. Even came back in the afternoon with my wife and she loved the vegetable soup. We will absolutely be back again! Oh, in the morning I watched them finish up an apple pie and got a slice in the afternoon - some of the best pie you'll ever have.

Ok so the staff was friendly and the building was cool. They had it all decorated like a artisan coffee shop, like something you would see in an Austin coffee shop. We didn't try the food so I can't review that but I will review the coffee. So we ordered frappes and asked for whipped cream, didn't get it. I ordered toasted marshmallows and my husband ordered butter pecan, they both tasted exactly the same. Both were VERY sweet, like rot your teeth sweet. Which maybe some people like, I do not. The straws are awful, they are so thin you can't stir the coffee with a lid on. We also ordered a side of espresso and that was quite possibly the worst I've ever had, not because it was bitter but because it had a very strange taste that made me regret putting it in my mouth instantly. Also was most expensive then I would have liked, it was $13 for 3 items with a $3 tip. We go to java quest down the street and get the exact same thing for under $10. Also once they were making the frappes it got very loud like they don't have a cover for their mixer, and if that is the case I would move that to the back where maybe it wouldn't be so obtrusive to the customers in the front. I couldn't hear my husband sitting 2 feet from me while this thing was going.

Amazing coffee, frappes and those blueberry oat bars are fabulous. We live an hour and a 1/2 away and I would drive down just for those blueberry bars and coffee! I bought everything they had left in them! Great atmosphere and staff was very friendly!
