First time at Joe's Oyster bar after a recommendation from a friend. Was pleasantly surprised. Had a plate with shrimp, oysters, fish and a stuffed crab (with fries, cold slaw and a roll).. all this for $13.95/ plate. The food was hot, Delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. The menu was good, they have a grilled or fried seafood menu. I will recommend it to everyone and plan to go there again, very soon.

We arrived around 9 pm with a group of 7. The wait was about 15-20 minutes. It was a pleasant wait though because it was set outside with it's own bar. Our waiter, Paul, was so attentive to us and friendly he was like family. He recommended some great plates for us. This is definitely a great place to stop at if you ever come to SPI!

This restaurant doubles as a fish and shrimp market. But don't let that scare you. Food is served on disposable plates and plastic utensils are provided. Now to the food. Food is awesome at a more than reasonable price with competing restaurants. Highly recommend the Joey special plate. Can't say enough good things. Bring your appetite.

Julio was our waiter. Great service. Food was fabulous. After trying 2 other places for seafood we have found our go to. The decor is fun. I definitely recommend Joe's Oyster Bar.

Great, fresh seafood. Grilled shrimp is awesome. Actually it's all good. Well worth the stop and better than any other options, worth a drive from Brownsville or Harlingen. We drove from Dallas!
