Very delicious food, several vegetarian dishes, friendly and professional service, cozy place. It's highly recommended if you love Indian cuisine. Although be prepared for the changes in service quality. The service was bad the next evening. The female server dressed in traditional Indian clothing was very indifferent, angry looking and rude. I'm not sure if I will ever dine in. Ordering might be the solution to prevent from fluctuating service quality.

Star of India has delicious "home cooked", Indian cuisine. I'm back for the lunch buffet today and a beer. Great place, great people who take pride in their establishment. Plenty of car parking too. 5 star menu at a 2 star price. I will be back to spoil myself again.

I’ve driven by, read up and heard about Star of India for sometime, only to come to realize...I was neglecting my appetite and taste buds all along. Today, no more neglect. I gave in and walked in, to an ambient, warm, comfortable trip to India. The restaurant itself sits inside the northwest corner of the Ramada hotel building yet, it represents a physical ambassadorship of it’s mother country in optics, cuisine and service. The food is delicious. If you are American, you are aware of curry. However, do not sell yourself short and stick to what you know. Dare to venture out and try something different. I assure you, you will not be let down. I thought I was full after an appetizer and my entree. Honestly, between you and me, I was full. Stuffed! But...I could not leave without desert. I waited, I walked in and now I have an addiction. I just wished I lived in Salt Lake City so I could spoil myself more often with the delightful menu and service that defines hospitality of Star of India. In the meantime, I will stick to my work and travel visits to SLC, to treat myself.
