Really enjoyed the meal I got here. I got the special of the day which included 2 sausages and 2 sides for around 8 dollars. It was really tasty! There were lots of options for sides They all looked really good. The store also had lots of fun treats from Germany. Definitely hope to return sometime soon.

A downtown classic for lunch. It's been in a few different buildings over the years but the fare has always been top notch. It can get quite busy at lunch time so I recommend offsetting your dining time away from peak hours but definitely take in a lunch here. Every menu item I have eaten has been delicious. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations

I wasn't feeling up to trying new foods when I was taken there, so I opted for a simpler, more American friendly grilled cheese, not knowing that I guess their grilled cheese is two slices of bread with two slices of cheese microwaved and then thrown on the grill for five seconds to give it the grill lines. Also, I watched them cut every sandwich on the same cutting board, not even a wipe between. They forgot my sandwich in the microwave for a good five minutes until the CASHIER pulled it out, STILL HOLDING MONEY IN HER HAND, set the money ON the cutting board every sandwich sees, and dug her dirty fingers into the bread to cut it. I was genuinely afraid to eat the sandwich, but I was with a friend who loved the place, so I did. It was tough, like biting through rubber, the cheese didn't melt it together at all, and the shrimp salad I got with it was room temperature. Genuinely afraid to ever get asked to go again.

Amazing place! Great spot for a meal or to pick up some great hand made meats and cheeses. You can get a full meal or individual items. While it is plain, there some great condiments for those who enjoy sime spicier fare. Going back as soon as I can. You'll feel like family when you go!

This place is a gem. A good place to grab lunch but also a great place to get German food to cook at home (brats, sauerkraut, rotkohl, etc). It also has a great selection of German confections and imports. My only complaint is the awkward line. They need to figure out a more efficient way to move people through the store. People standing in line to get lunch block the deli counter and everyone funnels into one register. Really this is a product of their own success since if it weren't busy all the time there would be no problem.
