Very nice restaurant, pricer than the other restaurants in Blacksburg but good for a date or when parents come. The food was delicious. The menu is small and changes. They also do brunch. Need a reservation because not a ton of seating. They do have outdoor seating for when it’s warm though which is nice.

Superb everything. Service, fresh seasonal menu selection, cocktails. Cozy atmosphere. It's high end and the prices reflect that, but every bite was worth it. Don't hesitate if you are celebrating or enjoying a nice night or lunch out. I will definitely be back.

I stopped in for dinner today. Have a best friend who just started there thought I’d give it a try. They have a new chef also started today. I’ve never had food that looked that amazing when it came to the table. It looked like a piece of art on the plate. And was the most amazing food I’ve ever tasted. Definetly will be back again and again. If you looking for an amazing place for dinner I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for an amazing night and awesome food. Congratulations to the black hen and blue bar, there new chef Joshua Harris is a true master of his craft.

They have a small very clean restaurant and a small menu but the food is amazing and so is the staff. The wine selection was fantastic. If you want to dress up a little and have a nice birthday its pricey but absolutely worth it.

Great service from Josh. Phenomenal flavor profile in the cheese slate and the mustard crusted salmon with broccolini and roasted potatoes was scrumptious. Will definitely visit again the next time I am in Blacksburg. Make reservations since they have a limited number of tables – but try this place. You will be glad you did.
