Nice menu, lots of goodies to choose from. Pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc. A popular place. We ate outside. It was busy but no wait. Lots of other restaurants around. I would go back. Fresh food made there.

Excellent food and service. Great value. Very pleased. Large selection of craft beers. Highly recommended.

I used to love the cellar. They were my everything. At the end of every night I went to the cellar. They were there for me. Then it happened. (the fire nation attacked) They betrayed me. Like I said, I loved the cellar. But we went to end our night there and they were the biggest D**che bags ever. we went for the luck of the draw.... no..... they denied us. they said "you're too drunk." which honestly was probably right. BUT, in my 12 years in the burg I have never seen something so obscene. My two friends went in after me to order beer. Instead of telling them they were "too drunk" they gave them the beer. ATROCIOUS!...an absolute OUTRAGE. we will not be returning to the once flourishing, now perishing cellar. good bye and GOOD DAY SIR. I SAID GOOD DAY!

The Cellar is by far the best place in Blacksburg for good food, intelligent conversation and most of all the most diverse crowd in town. I have 30+ years of patronizing this establishment and it has never disappointed. Noisy, hectic, dynamic, edgy and always fun and stimulating. Food is awesome, generous and filling. My personal favorite are the Loaded Curly Fries which are essentially nachos on curly fries instead of chips. Beer, Cider, Wine selections are fabulous as well. Pricing is also wonderful. I can buy my wife and I both a drink, an appetizer and leave a huge big spender tip and sill only be out $25.

I had a very bad experience due to a waitress. The food was great but the experience made me so mad. The waitress messed up 3 times. First she gave meatballs to my vegetarian friend, second we had to ask for pita bread 3 times, and 3rd she messed up the check big time. I’d be sympathetic if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t, it was between lunch and dinner so the restaurant was nearly empty. So my friend and I had the same price food but when she split up the appetizer I had $4.30 added and my friends had $.70 to $3 added. My friend’s normal meal was $13 minimum but my check ended up being $19 and hers was $17. Considering we paid 6/5 for appetizer too I’m willing to pay a lot of money for a good meal but I’m not okay with paying for the waiter’s mistakes. The reason she said she couldn’t fix it was because there was no manager. I wish I had said to call up the manager. I don’t think I’d come back. There are other restaurants just as good with better service.
