Before going to Ms. Girlee's I read most of the reviews and was excited to fellowship with my Red Hatters. We arrived 2 o'clock for the Sunday Brunch and it appeared that some things were already shut down (crab station); however, we did get a few crabcakes on our table. The collard greens were absolutely tender and seasoned perfectly and cornbread was delicious. What was disturbing; the buffet was already pricey ($20.99) but a service charge of 20% was attached to our bill. Five people! Generally, eight or more people you would have a service charge.... I paid an additional $4.20 to get my water glass refilled twice. We will NOT be going back to Ms. Girlee's and I have mentioned this experience to others and it is a sad commentary particulary when we are cheering on any black establishment to be successful.

Had a work luncheon here. The staff was nice and very accommodating to our large group. Food was excellent. We were treated to a complementary dessert of delicious bread pudding. Looking forward to going back.

If I could give 10 stars I would over and over again ♥️ Excellent Food and wonderful service. You haven't had any good cooking if you haven't had Mrs. Helen's cooking 😋 Come see her and treat yourself♥️

Great food and great service! We loved everything. The crab cakes, the collard greens, the Mac and cheese, the potato salad, cornbread and turkey wings were all awesome !! I can’t wait to come back again!
