My wife and I just returned from a visit to Williamsburg. We ate at the Blue Talon twice. What a very joyful experience. Our waiter, Chris, was very attentive and helpful. The menu has many choices for the discriminating taste. And the desserts were so enticing. We had to have one (we split it)!! Thank you Blue Talon for such an enjoyable time.

My mother recently had lunch here with my aunt. They liked the food and ambience, but their waitress was horrible. One, they asked several times for water, but were never given any. Two, my aunt asked if they could have some bread, and the waitress, passive-aggressively did so. Three, the waitress tried to take away their plates twice with out asking if they were done. Four, the waitress reached across the table to get the sugar packet container and started filling it up in front of them. Five, the waitress then came out and started sweeping around their table. Again this is lunch time, not closing. Six, the waitress comes out with the check (they didn't ask for it). Seven, my aunt says she wanted to order dessert and the waitress says the "kitchen is closing down." Again this is lunch time and people are still being seated throughout the restaurant. It must have been the end of her shift and she wanted to leave, so she was trying everything to get my mom and aunt to leave. Well I don't think my family is coming back!

The Blue Talon Bistro, I adore. The food, all of it is very good. The experience of the space, the atmosphere is like that of an high class restaurant. The staff were always there to help, and get what I needed. They have what they call hot chocolate, it is different from the store bought item I have known. It is really decadent drinking chocolate with a home made marshmallow - pure awesome. I love that the inside is ornately decorated, and that there is a place out side to sit, if I were to bring dog with me. The Blue Talon is a place I always go to when I am in town for vacation.

Tables on top of each other. I'd say maybe six inches of space between myself and the guy next to me. The first time I visited, I had an overbearing/obnoxious waiter. They had an elaborate grilled cheese with several items, but could not make a plain one for my child (they were pre-made he said). Fair enough. We shared an omelet. The bathrooms were clean. I went a second time, alone, and sat again what felt like on top of the couple next to me. I heard everything they discussed. The server didn't know something, but asked and got back to me. She was a good server. In my opinion, the environment was loud. The music was also an unusual selection (not French or relaxing).

My wife and I love the food here. The only issue I have with this place is their tendency to cram as many people in. We were seated this time at a table right next to the Server's station in the back. This made it very hard to eat as one side of the table was pushed up to the rooster. Even got bumped a few times because of the servers running past us. Will not eat here again if they try to stick us there again. This is the second time we've been sat in a very uncomfortable location. Will not return again if they keep this up. With that being said the food is very good as usual. Would just be nice if a restaurant cared more about customer comfort over making another $.
