My wife and I spent our honeymoon at The Carriage House and on our second evening enjoyed the five-course dinner at Immigrant Room- we both agreed it was the best meal we've ever had- together or apart! Mary Jo was our waitress and she was such a doll. She took care of us all night, from pairing our exact taste in wine to the meal we were about to enjoy, to checking-in on us regularly to make sure everything was tasting okay. It was such an intimate experience, tucked into the basement of The American Club. The menu was incredibly varied and each dish tasted so very unique- we loved every bite! While the dishes change on a regular basis, depending on what's in season, we would highly recommend the seared scallops, the lobster bisque, the 30-day aged tenderloin, and the quail eggs and pork belly. If you can, request to have Mary Jo as your waitress- she'll take great care of you.

The only truly 5 star restaurant in WI. Unbelievable food and service! Suit and tie required. Servers are helpful, formal, but never "stuffy" unlike other 5 stars. Huge wine and liquid offerings... wine guy comes to table and helps with selection. Wonderful "feel". Expensive, but worth every penny! Never too crowded. Go for that special occasion and enjoy every minute!

We ate here this weekend and were very disappointed. As other reviews state, the service was lovely. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was the best part of the meal. We opted for the 7 course tasing menu. Dishes were either lacking balance or too rich or buttery. By the time we made it to the Waygu we were to stuffed to eat it (also very heavy). Instead of stopping there and modifying our bill to reflect, the staff placed it in a doggie-bag and brought out dessert. :( Which were just bad. The Creme Brule was actually a Flan (too much egg not enough cream) just wrong. The Jack-fruit panna-cotta was tasteless and pipped onto the plate in a questionable manner. The best part of this dish is the carmelized banana. However, that’s just a banana with sugar on top (not worth this price). The whole meal cost twice as much as it is worth. We have done several high end dinning experiences. This one was regrettable. Save yourself the money and disappointment. Choose somewhere less stuffy and with better execution.
