I had the most upsetting experience today at Honey Bee in the beaches. My husband, daughter and I have been eating there frequently since we moved to the area. It's almost always empty in there and we didn't understand why, we enjoy the food and they seemed nice so we wanted to support this local business even though other reviews said other places were better quality. Last night we ordered food, same order as usual and I paid with a $50 bill. They say they give 10% off for paying with cash, which I always do, and I always have to correct them when they charge me full price, no big deal. I corrected her and she adjusted my order to $32. My daughter was standing on their benches to look at the fish and I was distracted by here and concerned that she may be getting their seat dirty so when she handed me a $5 bill and change I didn't realize at the time that it was incorrect. We got home close to 8pm, ate and I put my daughter to bed shortly after. Only then did I realize that my change was missing $10 owed. I checked my jacket pocket (I only brought a $50 bill, no wallet) and sure enough, there was just $5 and change, just over $7. No biggie, I'll go back and explain the next day. That's what I did today, they refused to give me $10 back. I had the receipt and explained the mistake again, how they know us, we come in at least every couple weeks to eat in and take out. Why would I drag my 3yr old all the way back to lie about $10. The owner straight up told me it was my fault for not realizing right away and that they won't give it back. I was so upset and shocked and told them it was stealing. That I would never come back again after coming so often for so long and he just told me to get out. There were even customers eating and ordering at the time, I couldn't believe it. I hope no one else has to experience such horrible service again, they obviously do not appreciate their customers or believe in honestly. So sad.

Ever now and again when we are in the mood for Chinese, we like to go to Honey Bee. It's local and the food is good ! I like the Lo mein chow mein vegetable dish or tofu and vege dinner.
