We went a bit early, so we got a table in front of the kitchen without any wait time. My only complaint is that no one was using gloves in the kitchen, instead they were touching the prepared food with their bare hands. Other than that, the food was great, the staff was very friendly and understanding, and the ambience was very pleasing. I highly recommend the Tandoori Salmon since it was very soft and flavorful. This is a must-go restaurant if you are visiting DC!

You’ll have authentic Indian taste in this restaurant. The food and service is really great. But this one is little expensive Restaurant. Worth trying out if you’re on vacation in DC.

I normally go to Rasika West End, but tried this one out. The food and service was very good. The restaurant is a little darker than the other Rasika, but the bar options are really nice. Only thing I would like to see is larger tables. The table was too small to fit the food for a party of 4.

I took 5 non Indian colleagues for enjoying Indian food to this restaurant. We were welcomed with await of 90 minutes. The food was very food and was top notch for taste and creativity. The menu was reasonable so were prices. All of them loved the food. The customer service was however subpar and did not reflect the high standards they set for food. The person answering phone should be soft and should not snap on customers. There were other negatives but all in all, good Indian food.

We are not from DC and had this place recommended to us by a friend. Entering I felt very underdressed as I was in Levi shorts and a t-shirt (tourist garb.) The place is beautiful and has candles. We were seated at table were we could see into the kitchen. It wasn't as romantic as the other table I saw but fun to watch all the dinner prep. The menu was confusing since I don't have a lot of experience with Indian food. I looked at reviews and got one of the recommended dishes of quail eggs and chicken after reassurance from our waiter that it was not spicy. However, it was incredibly spicy for me! I give license though that what is spicy to one person isn't necessarily for another. I couldn't eat it and ended up eat most of the fried spinach, which is awesome, and picking at my husband's goat dish, which was slightly less spicy than mine. Despite my mouth burning, the fire alarming going off while we were there for about 15 minutes, and being about $70 I would still recommend this place for a night out. Just be careful if you are as sensitive to heat as I am!
