They totally remodeled this place to spacious and modern. Great upscale restaurant with great food and drinks. As long as your wallet is great to match. 3oz wine for $7? Happy hour 6 oz for 9 oz costs $14,Who heard that?

Love the lounge, the food and the drinks! The dining room experience was also great. We always have a terrific time with our friends at Bluestem. Can’t wait to go back!

Recently visited KC. Myself and guest chose the 5 course meal with wine pairings. The service was outstanding. The sommelier was knowledgeable and attentive. The open kitchen is great to see in action. It is not a large venue which seems by design to offer a personal dining experience. Every course was special. The dessert was nothing short of amazing. I wanted to lick my plate (frowned upon, or I may have) It is a James Beard awared establishment and well deserved. Bravo to the owners.

Had a table right next to the kitchen. It was marvellous watching them prepare everything. We didn't order anything instead asked the chief to surprise us and it was amazing.

Most of the food was great! We got a little confused at first because 3 different servers came up to our table to take a drink order and tell us they'd be with us shortly. My boyfriend's first drink was very bland but they happily switched it out. The parsnip soup, carbonara, and lamb were all delicious and presented beautifully. My boyfriend loved the pork belly as well. I'm being a little hard on the rating, I may have expected slightly better because of the James Beard Award but the appetizers and dessert didn't blow me away (banana bread was overcooked and too hard to cut through). Overall, really enjoyed it but had higher expectations than what I got.
