This upscale sushi place makes for a memorable dining experience. I went there on a weekday just before happy hour ended, hoping to get a good deal. Well, the happy hour didn't have any of their popular rolls as an option! I ended up getting one of the rolls of the regular menu. It had apples in it, the subtle taste of which added a unique touch to the flavour. It was good, but not the best sushi I have had, especially for the price. Unfortunately at $16 per roll, the cost is too prohibitive for me to return there regularly. The servers were quite friendly and attentive and made a few good suggestions. I really liked the free edemame served to each table instead of bread. I did not try any of the drinks, so I cannot comment on those. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat, especially at the south west location of this chain restaurant, you will not be disappointed by the view and feel of the city.

This experience was awful. We had previously been to Bamboo Sushi on NW 23rd and it was a completely different experience. We had a reservation at 9:00pm and watched our table sit empty from 8:50 - 9:10. The waiting area is limited, so people spill out into the rest of the restaurant, which means I had some random person's ass in my face while I was trying to eat. The service was so-so, not mean, but certainly not nice, kind of a "yeah this is how it is" vibe. The presentation is poor - this place will serve you sake out of bar glassware. All of this was in stark contrast to the location on NW 23rd, which felt like an upscale sushi restaurant. This place felt more like a dive bar. All in all, for the price, if you're looking for upscale sushi restaurant, pass on this location.

Fabulous food and friendly staff. This place is awesome. I really enjoy sushi and have for a long time. The creativity of the food here is impressive, and gives you an experience you'll be glad you had and will want to repeat.

Bamboo Sushi SW nails every aspect of a fine dining experience: friendly service, attractive decor, and--the most important part--delicious food. The sushi was creative, delectable, and delightfully presented. They also had tasty cocktails. The nigiri was fresh, and melted in my mouth (so good!). No other sushi place has been able to compete thus far. My husband and I have been twice, and plan on returning again this week. The prices are on the higher end, but that's to be expected for its downtown location and well worth it for the high quality dining experience.

Great taste good service, love the spicy rolls here so much ❤️. I was here for a few days and came back twice for the same food. Must try if you come to Portland.
