Encore visit was just as special as the first. Our party of three was graciously accommodated, on a clearly busy night, with no reservation. The menu is definitely not standard for Japanese food served in American restaurants, and the wait staff was patient and accommodating as we asked myriad questions. Everything was excellent, from the selection of beverages right through dessert. Our entrees were fresh, hot, and well presented. Will definitely go there again!

Best kept secret! High quality food. The staff are amazing, and their restaurant shows it. The menu is vast and flavorful. Clean tables, floor, everything oozes the care and love they have for their product. Would recommend to anyone looking for top japanese cuisine!

I have been going to this restaurant since they opened, and it's my all time favorite in Pittsburgh! The owner develops new special menu every season, and it's a must try. Teppanyaki Kyoto is one of those restaurants that don't advertise, but became popular by word of mouth. I think that speaks for it self- how good the food is! Also for people who don't like sushi or can't eat raw foods, this place is perfect because it's all cooked food (teppanyaki style).

This cozy Teppanyaki place has not only its namesake savory pancakes, but lots of other Japanese small plates, like 🐙 octopus 🐙 balls, plus noodle dishes and other dinners. It can be inexpensive if you want a light dinner, or more lavish for a group to share. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious!

The bacon mochi and the avocado shrimps are my favorite but you can't really go wrong with anything on their menu. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere really cozy. Definitely worth going there!
