They serve great breakfast items. If you have the Big Frans breakfast for brunch, you may not be hungry until late evening. You can also opt for other smaller portion sized breakfast which is filling as well. This place is crowded always yet they manage to find a good seat for you. I would love to go there another time for breakfast. It's yummilicious...

This is our little spot. Been coming here for years. Food isn't spectacular but it's definitely not bad. The desserts are great! Staff are always friendly. We come here on a yearly basis and it's great diner food! Their desserts are even better.

Frans has that old diner feel which contrasts the concrete glass towers of downtown. Feels good to be in an original part of Toronto before the condo boom took off. Ordered nachos, calamari, roast beef sandwich, fish and chips and pasta. Great eatery with decent portions for a decent price. Service and food was prompt.

After dying for a home cooked meal we found Frans Restaurant and we were beyond happy. The meal was so good and very generous in the size. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff was very friendly and efficient. . We would definitely go back here next time we are in Toronto

Used to come here every weekend for a year. It was a tradition for some of my friends and I. Unfortunately it was no longer the same since last year. Price goes up higher and higher, to the point that it doesn’t match with the quality of the food they serve anymore. The fish used for the fish and chip is not fresh and mushy. Soup (both French onion and cream broccoli) is very salty. If I’m paying $17 for egg Benny, can’t I at least have some freshly cut fries instead of the frozen home fries you serve? And recently, on the occasional time that I go back. I found out that they won’t seat you if you don’t have all members of your party together. Customer service is going down hill for sure. Don’t know if I’d come back for another time. It used to be a good time to have brunch with my friends, but now...Tradition is dead.
