Do not buy from hardwood giant Brampton

I needed engineered wood that’s 4 years old. There’s none in alberta where I am. So I looked on line and came across hardwood giant in Brampton. I was dealing with a fellow named JD who confirmed he had the flooring style I needed for my repair. The following day JD requested a credit card for a deposit which was only supposed to be a couple hundred dollars. Fast forward a week, I had no communication from JD and was charged $1000 deposit without my consent. I decided to phone hardwood giant’s main office number that I saw on their Facebook page. I complained about my terrible experience with JD. JD called me within 5 min. He tried to convince me he hadn’t forgotten me and everything was fine. I told JD I had opened a complaint with MasterCard for fraud and I wanted my $1000 back which he had taken without consent and services rendered. After an hour of stalling by the slick salesman I got confirmation via a POS receipt that my refund was processed. What a terrible experience. StayAway

DO NOT GET YOUR FLOORING FROM HERE— my husband and I have had to file a complaint under theConsumers Protection Act because they refused to give us our deposit back. We were hesitant to give a deposit before any measurements were taken and an estimate quoted. We only agreed to give a deposit as they reassured us three times that we could get it back anytime up until 2 weeks before the installation date. They told us that we needed to put a deposit down in order to get the deal that was ending the following day. (3 months later and they still promote the same deal.. a ploy to get your deposit??) When someone came to measure our floors (An outside guy that Hardwood Giant hired), he was the only professional one who told us the truth. He told us that by removing the file in our kitchen it would mostly likely damage the kitchen floorboards and cabinet and recommended we take the tiles out ourselves. This was not mentioned when we made the deposit at the store in February. When we went back to the store to ask for the deposit they refused to give us our refund back. There were three salesmen and they were speaking a different language, refusing to acknowledge my husband. My husband brought in a letter of complaint, they refused to take the letter and said we have legal team that deals with stuff like this and they dont mind going to court. Does that say it all!!! I also notice that every time this location gets a bad review on google, a bunch of 5 star generic reviews follow.. Coincidence??

We got our hardwood flooring from the Torbram branch and were very satisfied with the products as well as the service offered by Balu. He helped us make the right choice of flooring and worked out a good deal. Highly recommended store for flooring!

Gagan was very helpful in getting all our questions answered; however we will not get the job done through them being biased by all the other posted reviews.
