The Home Depot

I am in the process of purchasing and moving in to my new home. I was asking for referral for things I wanted done in my new home. And some people recommended home depot. I visited this particular location because it was the nearest to my place. I noticed homme depot is not a place you want to go if you want quality things. I was disappointed by the knowledge the workers had here. I picked out a particular material for engineered hardwood flooring and asked if it that was an average price. The sales person said, "Yes" and I was thinking that home depot must carry more luxury items than Lowes since I picked out a material for engineered hardwood flooring I Lowe's which was slightly cheaper and the sales rep at Lowe's told me that what I picked was actually a little over average price. Since the home depot sales rep says the material I picked was average price for engineered hardwood, I start looking around just to find out, the material that I picked was over average. Well, it was not the most expensive one, but there weren't a lot that cost more than what I picked. From the highest price to three one I picked was less than 50 cents difference. I was wondering if the sales person knew three pieces of the products. Then, I asked if they had motorized shutters. The same sales rep said shutters didn't come motorized. I thought he meant, home depot shutters weren't motorized, but he was trying to educate me on shutters and that shutters were not motorized. Then, I wondered if this person knew about anything. I moved on to a different section and asked for smart home assistance. A sales rep referred me to customer service. I went to customer service and requested to be connected with someone whip could help me with setting up my smart home. The lady asked me what a smart home was. At this point I was getting frustrated since on home depot's website, they advertise they help with smart homes and the lady at customer service is asking me what a smart home is! How can you advertise something when toy didn't even train your employees? So, I'm trying to be patient and explained what a smart home was. Then, she said her co-owner could help me. The co-worker didn't know how to refer me and asked the lady who referred me to her. They couldn't figure it out and called someone. After she got off the phone, she said they didn't provide the service. But it says on home depot's website? I left home depot thinking if anyone knew anything about the trend out there and where their company stood? And by my first experience at home depot, I noticed gone depot is not for a luxury home improvement. Honestly, I would had given 1 star. But, I giver three stars because I think maybe home depot is a place I shouldn't have considered in the first place.

Great experience! My questions were answered and we walked out of the store with a new Ryobi Lawnmower and Leaf Blower! Used the battery powered lawnmower today and I absolutely love it! Lightweight and very easy to push!

Good place to get what you need and go. This place is very functional. Not here to chat or make idle chatter. The people here are very efficient and helps you find what you need asap. I run a construction business and they my trips to Home Depot so far complements my busy schedule. Keep up the good work.

I am disappointed in Home depot, they dont carry any of the color of microwave I wanted, black, and I am charged a delivery fee, I can't pick it up in store which is stupid, and if it is scratched, dented or for some reason I dont want it I have to pay a restocking fee, which is funny because it's not in stock. The three stars us only because the product is good and the lady that worked with me was helpful.

I may not always find what i need but i always find employees willing to help me.
